I have been teaching aerobics for Bally's for more than 10 years. I teach five days a week, before and after my full-time work, plus a weekend class. I only teach Step, which in my opinion, is the only class that can work your brain faster than your body.
Wow...we had close to 50 people in class this morning. At 5:45 a.m.!! It was such a scene that people walking by to the locker room were all looking to see what's up with so many people in a class that early. It's a lot of new people, too. This one girl came up and told me, "Your class looked like so much fun, I gotta try it!"

It was a sweatfest! They screamed. They gasped for air. They were all dripping wet. I loved it.

So I got to the gym right at 5:30 and found out that some dimwit from management removed 25 step boards, leaving only 35 boards. He probably forgot that my class averages 50 people. I didn't want to turn anyone away because of someone's idiocy - people are hurrying from work, some drove miles, trying to make it to class. So I lined up all the remaining 35 boards into five lines, did the class "in-line" style, and crammed everybody into class.

My voice is back. Saturday was hell because I had no range - I had to keep it really low (bass) to make my voice audible. Today it's back.
People in class were getting to me. I know it's Monday, but messing up in the first five minutes of class was unexcusable. And I wasn't even trying. That gets to me. A couple people missed classes for a few weeks, came back today and was all over the place. That gets to me. Some people like to just "drop in" - they never improve because they are not regular enough. That gets to me.
Wow. One of those days when everyone decided to come to class. All the regulars (except Dan) were present, plus a couple of new returnees. Very inspiring.

Warmup was painful. The class got a little easier after everybody got there, but then it got worse when I suddenly got the chills. I think I'm getting sick.

It's obvious that I'm not a writer. Two things I hated the most growing up was writing and reading, so don't expect any great wisdom or witty vignette here. Other than that, you will find bits and pieces of me here. Kind of like a puzzle.
